Paul Massey would model mayoral campaign on Massey Knakal territory system CushWake exec says entrance into race is just around the corner

Paul Massey intends to model his campaign strategy for the 2017 New York mayoral election on Massey Knakal Realty Services’ famed territory system, the brokerage’s co-founder said on Sunday.

The territory system, as used by Massey Knakal, divided New York City into about 50 regions each headed by a broke上海千花社区 上海千花网交友r. It’s this divide-and-conquer approach that Massey plans to use to engage voters, he told The Real Deal at an ICSC event Sunday.

“We’ve done business in every neighborhood, in every community,” Massey, now president of investment sales at Cushman Wakefield, said. “And those are the relationships we would look to.”

He also spoke about his fundraising strategy, saying he would tap into an extensive network of business leaders to raise cash for his run. “We’re going to raise boatloads of money,” he said.

In January, Massey formed 1NY Together, a 501(c)(4) “social welfare” nonprofit that is allowed to上海龙凤论坛 新上海贵族宝贝论坛 raise funds to lobby lawmakers. But on Sunday, he told TRD he is shutting it down, something he had signaled his intent to do earlier this month after seeing the fundraising controversy Mayor Bill de Blasio is embroiled in.

Updated, 1:55 p.m., Nov. 30: In a major win for Mayor Bill de Blasio’s affordable housing platform, the City Council approved four residential developments that will increase the number of low-and middle-income housing in East Harlem and the Bronx.

On Tuesday, the council approved a plan to rezone a lot in East Harlem that will give the green light to a L+M Development Partners and Tahl Propp Equities developed 8 t0 15-story, 411,725 square foot building, at Lexington Avenue between 107th and 108爱上海同城 爱上海th streets Politico reported.

The fully-affordable 400 unit development is subject to MIH, a 40-year regulatory agreement with HPD, rent stabilization laws and an Article 11上海千花社区 上海千花网交友 tax abatement. According to the developers, 20 percent of the units will be rented to households making 30 percent of the area median income and 30 percent of the units will be rented to those making 50 percent of the AMI. The remaining 200 units will go toward those making 80 percent of the AMI (30 percent of households) and up to 130 percent of the AMI (20 percent of households).

DOB blames crane operator for fatal
Staten Island accident Agency suspended his license and filed charges

The city blames a crane operator for an accident in March that killed a 54-year-old construction worker in Staten Island.

Joseph Volpe, who s worked as a master rigger since 1997, allegedly misjudged the crane s load, failed to notify the Department of Buildings of the accident and left th上海夜网论坛 上海夜网e scene, city officials confirmed on Tuesday. The DOB quietly suspended both of Volpe s licenses — for master rigger and hoisting machine operator — in March, a few weeks after the fatal accident. A call to Volpe s union-affiliated business, JV Trucking and Rigging, was 爱上海同城对对碰 爱上海同城论坛not immediately returned.

Antonio Veloso was killed on March 10 when a load fell off a crane at 364 Meredith Avenue. According to the Staten Island Advance, Veloso died roughly an hour after the incident, having suffered from severe trauma and cardiac arrest.

The DOB also filed a petition with the Office of Administrative Trial and Hearings, charging Volpe with disregard of public safety, negligence and failure to comply with city code. It will be determined in this proceeding whether or not he is stripped of his license permanently. A stop work order was issued for the site on May 2, alleging that work was counter to what was approved — specifically that unauthorized asphalt had been installed.

New Zealand s housing market is booming with prices climbing ever higher at odds with estimates and seemingly re-affirm上海贵族宝贝 上海千花网龙凤论坛ing the country s decision to ban foreign buyers who are viewed as the cause of the hot market.

The number of properties on the market has increased, reports Mansion Global, to more than 9 percent, though prices continue rising in contrast to what analysts has predicted. The 2017 report on the housing market, compiled by the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand, noted that of the 16 areas analyzed, 13 of them had price increases.

According to the report, median prices are now about $400,000 up from around $378,000 the year prior. In Auckland, the prices rose by nearly 2 percent with the median home price now over $630,000.

City Planning to vote on higher West Chelsea air rights price Officials to charge $625 per sf

The City Planning Commission on Wednesday will vote on whether to set certain air rights prices in West Chelsea to $625 per square foot.

The pric上海千花网交友 上海千花网论坛e is a jump from the $500 per square foot proposed in October and follows pushback from Community Board 4 and other officials, who argued that the price lowballed the value of development rights in the district. Proceeds from the air rights will be dedicated to an affordable housing fund run by the city, as part of a 2005 rezoning of the district.

In a November letter to the City Planning Commission, the community board recommended that the price instead be set at $800 per square foot.

The group’s chair Delores Rubin and co-chairs John Lee Compton and Betty Mackintosh, argued that City Planning shouldn t have included certain air rights sales when it calculated the median price of the rights in the district. They said the sale of 507 West 28th Street in May —  in which air rights sold for $150 per square foot — dramatically lowered the median. Five other deals from around that time sold for an average of $886 per square foot, a上海夜网论坛 上海夜网nd the board members argued that the West 28th Street deal was an outlier that likely resulted from something other than market conditions.

In November 2016, Six Sigma NYC paid $800 per square foot for 4,900 square feet to add to his site at 517-523 West 29 Street.

But as Silicon Valley’s overtaken Hollywood as the zeitgeist’s center of power and influence, it’s now Sun Microsystems cofounder Vinod Khosla who’s waging a battle over the beach.

In 2008, Khosla bought the 53 acres of land underneath Martin’s Beach, which is home to 47 cottages. After the purchase, the county told him he could either keep a public-access road open and charge no more than the 1972-era rate of $2 per car for parking, or apply for a Coastal Development Permit to change access.

But Khosla chose neither option and decided to sue the California Coastal Commission, the State Lands Commission and San Mateo County, claiming the government was forcing him to operate a money-losing parking business.

City sues Torkian Group over alleged illegal short-term rentals Lawsuit claims landlord had repeated warnings

As part of an effort to crackdown on Airbnb, the city is now ta爱上海龙凤419桑拿 上海龙凤论坛sh1fking aim at the Torkian Group, claiming the landlord has continued to market and lease illegal short-term rentals despite previous warnings from officials.

In a new lawsuit, the De Blasio administration claims there were 1,029 short-term rental deals in the landlord s buildings between February 2015 and October 2018. The transactions involved 13 different apartments in 110 Greenwich Street, 311 West 50th Street and 488 Seventh Avenue, which gen上海夜网 阿爱上海同城erated more than $1.1 million in revenue, according to the complaint filed in New York Supreme Court on Wednesday.

The city alleges that the landlord had at least 44 illegal listings during that period, most of which appeared on Airbnb, though a handful were also on HomeAway and TripAdvisor. In New York, the vast majority of landlords are prohibited from renting apartments for less than 30 days in homes where the host is not present.

According to the lawsuit, from 2015 to September 2018. the city filed 23 violations and imposed $64,800 in fines against the landlord for doing just that. When Amazon announced plans to bring 25,000 jobs to a new campus in Long Island City, real estate players jumped on the transformative potential of the move. The e-commerce behemoth inspired visions of a more cohesive neighborhood that would lure more businesses and developers. Retail would flourish, as shops and restaurants filled the area, and other tenants would chase office space near the campus.

Those hopes were soon dashed as Amazon nixed its Queens plan and Long Island City’s commercial market reverts back to where it was three months ago. Brokers an阿爱上海同城 阿拉爱上海同城d developers touting the possibilities maintain long-term optimism about the area — but without the Amazon effect, the market is slated to slow. Developers will be more cautious given the robust supply pipeline and office leasing won’t have the same allure, those players said.

“There was a collective understanding that there will be a substantial slowdown of people putting shovels in the ground,” said Jonathan Adelsberg, a partner at law firm Herrick Feinstein. “People thought Amazon would offset any slowdown. So [the decision to pull out] will have a profound impact.”
